Based out of Northern California, folk/pop singer and songwriter, Woodlander combines guitar, vocals, and ambient electronica into a uniquely authentic and soulful blend of American heartland folk and R&B with world music influences of reggae island sound and African rhythms. Likened to a cross between Tom Petty, Grateful Dead and Velvet Underground, Woodlander is a musical artist who improvises multi-instrumental tracks (via looper pedal) chords, melodies and lyrics in real time in the sonic form of a buddhist sand painting never to be repeated. All live music on this site was inspired in the moment in realtime — no chords, instrumentation or lyrics were rehearsed and all tracks are the raw recording with no post-production effects added. Special gratitude to Willard MacDonald (Bass), Miles Kimock (Electric Guitar) and Bonny Danielsen (Keyboards & Vocals) for their friendship and musical participation on many of the songs/jams from
Woodlander Live 2019.
