Sky O’Banion and guitarist Derek Irving have been writing and performing blues together for 18 years. They were part of lo-fi electric blues band The Aces (from Northern CA) for 10 years. The Aces made the IBC finals in 2009 as well as releasing “No One Rides For Free” on El Toro Records (Barcelona, Spain).

In 2011 Sky and Derek dug deeper in their authentic blues roots and formed The Sky O’Banion Blues Band. The ensemble includes Tony Robinson on standup bass who joined in 2011 and Jason Stewart on drums who joined in 2012.
