Sakoyana

Sakoyana is an avant-funk band from Sonoma County, California. Influenced by sounds and creations of all kinds. Primarily the music is rooted in blues, jazz, and funk, but is also influenced by western classical music, hip hop, Indian classical music, gardening, meditation, cooking, insects, and more. The music strives to balance tight compositional structures with improvisation and joyful noise.
