Gary Vogensen has been playing guitar and singing professionally since the 70s. He has toured and/or played with the Elvin Bishop Band, Maria Muldaur, Norton Buffalo, Mike Bloomfield, Commander Cody and the Airmen, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Boz Skaggs, Steve Miller, Angela Strehli, Etta James, Carlene Carter and many others. Gary is a virtuoso guitar player and makes us laugh…a lot.
Julie Bernard
Julie Bernard is the leader of the Rivertown Trio and is passionate about the music and songs that make up their band's diverse repertoire. She has been performing for over 14 years, met Gary and Russ over 9 years ago and has been joyfully singing, playing guitar and doing percussion in the band with them ever since.
“When I met Gary and Russ, we just clicked. They are my brothers! In rehearsals, we laugh, we cry, we sing and play our hearts out, and even when we argue it is still fun! They make me be the best I can be and for that, I am eternally grateful."
Russ Gauthier
Russ plays acoustic, electric and lap steel guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo and dobro with the band and has been recording and performing for more than 40 years playing diverse musical styles. He toured the world with the New Riders of the Purple Sage for over 15 years and has performed with Delbert McClinton, Doug Kershaw, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Rick Danko and many more. Russ is a world class act.
