Marinfidels

Celebrate the legends of rock and soul music’s greatest artists with The Marinfidels as they perform their spot–on renditions of songs by The Rolling Stones, James Brown, Elton John, Steely Dan, David Bowie, ZZ Top, The Cure, Toto, and so many more!

The Marinfidels bring a legacy of music making that hails from the golden era of pop with a band of six musicians whose collective careers have put them in front of thousands of people around the globe and on stages with some of the bay area’s and the nation’s most revered artists. Their mission is to delight and entertain audiences with the music that most inspired them and influenced the popular culture of the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s.

Lead Vocalist Andy Kopp’s natural talent for singing gives the band the power and versatility that allows The Marinfidels to spread their wings and play everything from soulful grooves to hard-driving jams, and heart-wrenching ballads. Often compared to Paul Rogers and Robert Palmer, Andy’s crystal smooth voice will have you singing along.

Guitarist Brett Boyd is a prolific artist whose guitar stylings have been heard on records and soundtracks world-wide with over a hundred songs and a million CD sales to his credit. His guitar style evokes the spirit of rock’s greatest players from Jimi Hendrix to Joe Satriani, and is a treat especially for those fans of rock’s seminal 6-string instrument.

Guitarist and Vocalist Richard Gee is a San Francisco native who cut his teeth in the North Beach clubs playing along side local blues masters and funk maestros. His popular original band, Thump, and various cover projects have showcased his influences in soul, funk, and Latin and his talent for emphasizing the groove, which now graces both the rhythm and lead of The Marinfidels.

Keyboardist and Vocalist Anthony Prael is a dynamic musician, performer, composer, and recording engineer; a pioneer of electronic music-making from the days of analog who has always stayed on the cutting edge of progress. Anthony has enjoyed performing original compositions as an opening act for multiple national artists with his band Frontline. His passion for both musicianship and technology pushes the limits of the band beyond the expectations of the listener.

Drummer Marc C. Smith’s formal training includes attending North Texas State and Berklee College of Music, and some on-on-one with greats Tony Williams, Jack DeJohnette and more. Since the early ‘90s, Marc has held membership in multiple bands and performed in countless venues throughout the Bay Area. Marc comes to the stage with two words in mind, Good times!

Bassist and Vocalist Anthony Alosi was a gifted multi-instrumentailist in his youth, but ultimately decided to focus his energy on the bass, and his fruitful professional career has seen him on stages with many big-name artists like Chris Isaac, Blood Sweat and Tears, America, Level 42, Clarence Clemmons, and many more. Anthony enjoys playing all styles, and his credo is to “serve the song”, and “keep the groove”.
