Jon Strider

Strider has produced, arranged and co-written over 40 records, 9 of which (to date) feature Jon as a solo recording artist. His 9th solo album - BAR WARS - was released November 2018 by New Sky Records on CD & digitally at Bandcamp LINK: www.jonstrider.bandcamp.com

2020 marked the release of his timely single "In The Days Of Quarantine". Co-written with Robin Factor in Santa Rosa, California.

Jon is a consummate vocalist, keyboardist and guitarist---and a dynamic live performer. He performs solo, as a duo with Robin Factor (in California) and with the JON STRIDER BAND. He is also a founding member of the ethereal and captivating 'to B ensemble' with Vera Renella.

Strider's music vibrates with the explosive cultural and political changes that rocked the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1960's and early 70's. He continued on to hone his musical, songwriting and production skills in Los Angeles, Nashville and Austin. Love and music ultimately brought him to Malmö, Sweden. Recently he has been more and more in California, the land of his roots.

In a live setting, Jon has played keyboards, and in some instances performed backing vocals, or guitar, with:
Eddie Money / Larry Graham / Mink DeVille / Dallas Taylor / Bill Amatneek / Little Roger & the Goosebumps / Dick Bright & His Sounds of Delight / Clifford Scott / The Rubinoos / Banana & Chicken Hirsch, Skyler Jett and many more...

Again, in a live setting, as a solo performer, or in bands he was in, Jon has opened for:
Etta James / Jorma Kaukonen (of the Jefferson Airplane) / Dan Hicks / Talking Heads / Bill Champlain / Thin Lizzy / Dead Kennedy's / The Shakers / Toots & the Maytals / Emmy Lou Harris, The Mojo Monkeys, and many more...

Jon has recorded, co-written and or studio-performed with BAND MEMBERS from Michael Jackson, Yes, The Crusaders, Dr. Dre, The Temptations, Earth Wind & Fire, George Thorogood, Don Henley, Paul Simon, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Lucinda Williams, Steely Dan, Little Feat, Bonnie Raitt, The Rubinoos, Kim Fowley, Dick Bright & His Sounds of Delight, SRO, John Denver, David Grisham, Tony Rice, The Allman Bros., Doug Sahm, Delbert McClinton, Dwight Yoakum, Richard Thompson, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and many more...
