Heartwood Crossing

Heartwood Crossing ‘stands tall’ in Sonoma County as a band known for its’ fine original songwriting and stellar three-part harmonies. Founding members Dave Monterey and Tim Sheehan share a longtime musical brotherhood, having performed together for decades with various Bay Area bands, most recently as The String Rays (2010-2018). 

​        Emily Lois, our ‘sister singer-songwriter’ from another mother joined us in 2018 by way of a chance meeting in KRCB’s green room during an NPR fundraising drive. Emily‘s artistic talent and energy has raised the level of creativity and performance to an even higher bar. Add in the extraordinary talents of violinist Jon Berger and the rockin' in-sync rhythm section of Daniel Magee on bass and Dan Ransford on drums — and Heartwood Crossing is complete — and certain to bring ‘bon temps’ to wherever we perform! 

       Heartwood Crossing has played such venues as The Mystic Theatre, Occidental Center for the Arts, Lagunitas Brewery, Rancho Nicasio, Hudson Street Wineries, Brewster‘s Beer Garden, Twin Oaks Roadhouse, and assorted special events and festivals.
