The sound defies conventional genre boundaries, inviting audiences to explore unfamiliar sonic territories while still enjoying the danceable and engaging qualities of the sounds and music.Currently residing in the East Bay with roots ranging from San Francisco to East Tennessee, Frictal is a powerhouse of musical spontaneity, improvisation and crunchy grooves. Meandering through genres ranging from modern jazz to indie ballads, bumping funk jams to western swing and so much more. Featuring special guest Amanda Magaña of local favorites Agua Pura and Miss Hits, the band takes the talents of the Berkeley based Oddity with Stu Silverman on guitar, Noah Zisser on the 6 string James Tyler Bass, Joey Escobar on keys and Carson Fratus on the kit.
