Frankie Bourne

Prolific singer-songwriter and indie darling Frankie Bourne is a recording artist, performing artist and screenwriter/filmmaker from the San Francisco Bay Area. Rooted in classic rock and California Soul, his indie music blends the rootsy tones of Americana with the DIY spirit of college rock to produce an alternative sound that is as authentic as it is familiar.

He’s released four solo albums, 3 EPs, a handful of singles, and has played the main stages at some of the most prominent festivals in Northern California’s wine country. An aggressive performer and road warrior, he’s played over 800 live shows, toured the west coast multiple times and has even performed at a TED talk. He recently won the North Bay Bohemian NorBay Award for Best Singer-Songwriter of 2021. His latest single “The Little Things” is now streaming everywhere.

On his most recent album “Wildcards”, Bourne found himself not only writing and arranging, but also making his debut as producer. Tracked with his former Sonoma County band (Frankie Bourne and the Wildcards) at legendary Prairie Sun Recording in Cotati, CA, his third studio album exhibits growth and polish to his craft through a collection of upbeat songs that blend alt-country and melodic 90s alt-rock with his layered, story-driven lyrical style.

On his 2015 acoustic-laced debut studio album, “Californicana” (produced by Marc Danzeisen), Frankie took a stance as a solo artist and emerged on the scene with an authentic sound that has been well-received by indie, rock and americana radio stations nationwide. LA Weekly called it "a refreshing roots rock record for the 21st Century". He supported the record with a sporadically changing group of players in the LA club scene, including keyboardist Carey Frank (Tedeschi Trucks Band, Social Distortion), saxophonist Jeremy Trezona (Saint Motel), bassist Andrew Perusi (Hanson), and drummer Clinton Cameron (Fishbone), to name a few.

In addition to his consistent output of original music he is also a prolific screenwriter with multiple feature film scripts under his belt. One of his original screenplays was recently selected as a semi-finalist by both the San Francisco International Screenwriting Competition and the 26th Annual Fade In Awards Comedy Competition. Another one of his original screenplays was a quarter finalist in the Portland Screenplay Awards. He has pitched projects to HBO, Showtime and FX, and has worked on multiple major studio movies for Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures and Walt Disney Pictures.

You can hear his music on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, and YouTube, as well as on the following terrestrial and internet radio stations: KSVY (Sonoma), KWMR (Marin), KRSH (Santa Rosa), KRCB (Rohnert Park), KALW (San Francisco), KPIG & KZSC (Santa Cruz), KCBX (Central Coast), HFM LA (Los Angeles), KHLV (Las Vegas), KHTP (Phoenix), Jango Radio, Indie Radio Music, Relax Free Radio, The Mad Music Asylum, War Stories Radio, Gapless Playback, and UK based XRP Radio, among others.
