A nomad in her own sense, Cat started singing from a young age. After "Living on a prayer" in the military, and becoming a "Jukebox hero" afterwards, she finally decided to pursue singing for more than just fun. Thinking "If I could change the world" she decided to use her talents to inspire young girls to pursue their dreams as she continues to learn better ways to "express herself". On a side note: musical influences are: Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, SWV, En Vogue, Chante Moore, Billy Joel, Eric Clapton, and the likes.
Out of the frying pan and into the fire, Gerry arrived on the blues-drenched improvisational rock scene of San Francisco in the early 60s. Applying a passionate playing style of the Hammond B3 to the relentless pursuit of the groove quickly lead to a tour with Steppenwolf, session and recording work with Fred Catero and David Rubinson, then still more session work at Music Annex which led to a CD with Huey Lewis. There followed a succession of countless touring and performing bands including 9-piece salsa/latin group, progressive rock, hard rock, blues, real book and fusion jazz. Humorous stories, you bet! Too numerous to mention, but he’ll gladly share a few over a pint of Guinness. Gerry is happy to be a part of the Dr. Mojo vibe, and looks forward to meeting you at the shows.
Gerry would like to acknowledge Peter Miller of CAE Sound for his expert repair and modification of vintage keyboards, and sound reinforcement.
Greg has been playing music since he was 5 years old. His first performance was for the entire Elementary School on violin when he was in Kindergarten. He has been living and performing in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1995, has performed throughout Spain, England, Italy, Ireland, Mexico, Hawaii and most of the US. His diverse talents span the musical spectrum. On a given night, you might hear him performing classical or acoustic-inspired instrumentals, to hard-swinging Latin-jazz; original blues, Celtic, even metal with a rock or funk edge. He is equally comfortable performing with Tempest before 20,000 enthusiastic fans at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, the Greater Hog Farm Festival of Rock in California, or any small intimate venue. Greg has done many solo entertainment gigs as well as for weddings, receptions, corporate parties, birthdays, anniversaries, store openings, holidays, malls, and more. Greg was the guitar player for world renown Tempest from 2011 to 2015, a Celtic Rock band that is currently touring the US.
Parachuted to SoCal in 1998 from Montreal, Pierre has been a very active musician, composer and producer on both sides of the border. A few of his songs enjoyed widespread recognition from the public and the industry – national airplay, top-10 chart topping, song-of-the-year nomination.
As a bass player, Pierre favors mostly groove-oriented genres such as R&B, funk, soul, blues, jazz, without, of course, forgetting a good rock-shaped concoction.
Recently relocated to NorCal, Pierre, as a member of Dr. Mojo, hopes to contribute in keeping the dance floors crowded and hot as hell!
Dominic started playing drums in a company band with some very tolerant work colleagues - those he played with and those in the fallout zone - about twenty-five years ago. Remarkably, they still jam together sometimes ... he has since studied with John Xepoleas and Shaun McGonegal, and played in a number of local bands and various clubs around the Bay area. Dominic also served for 8 years as a Trustee for the Blue Bear School of Music.
