"Chloe Jean, people need to hear your voice" I can remember my mother saying those words to me whenever I would get stage fright before a school play. All these years later, I'm still taking her advice to heart. I cannot imagine life without using my voice to write songs and share them with audiences. For me, there is simply no better feeling than the connections made during a show. The anxiety of the day seems to melt away as both the audience and I slip into a trance. Bono said it best, "music can change the world because it can change people."
Thank you, Mama, for always encouraging me to use my voice to do my small part for the world. I believe that the highest calling of an artist is to bring healing into the community. With that in mind, my writing tends to focus on the positive qualities of humanity. I'm inspired by the strength and resilience of the human spirit.
I was preparing for a North American tour when COVID struck, ruining my first opportunity to take my music beyond northern CA. I was to open for a major act by the name of ‘La Oreja de Van Gogh,’ a grammy winning group from Spain. The universe had other plans and the pandemic instead shifted my focus closer to home. I began playing to neighbors, friends, retirement communities and children. The tip money from each show was given to causes like the Food Bank and Breast Cancer research. My community has raised well over $10k since March 2020.
My sound is a unique blend of modern pop, jazz, and old school rhythm and blues.
Here are some of the cool ways I've gotten to use my voice:

-winner: WCS. Best adult contemporary song

-Director: San Rafael Children’s Choir benefitting the Battered Women and Children’s Shelter
